The Gold Coast celebrates its very own mini–Footy Legends with 92.5 Triple M’S Little Legends Of League

The Goldies 92.5 Triple M put on the ultimate head-to-head clash and family fun afternoon as the Gold Coast’s very own little footy legends took to the field on Friday, 25 June in Triple M’s Little Legends of League at The Club at Parkwood Village.

With over 300 registrations from local Under 9’splayers across the Gold Coast and Tweed, two teams were formed to play for their state.

Rugby league legend Ashley Harrison coached the Queensland team and Mark Minichello coached the New South Wales side.

Prior to the game, Ashley Harrison, said: “I’m really looking forward to it, coaching for Queensland there’s nothing better. I didn’t have to get asked twice, I threw my hand up straight away when I was asked.

“I just know how special it is for these young guys, I remember being their age once and to get a chance to put on a Queensland jersey with your name on the back, I mean it doesn’t get any better than that”

92.5 Breakfast trio, Bridge, Spida and Flan said: “Every kid imagines this moment in their head, all we want to do is give kids that moment. This is where legends are born, kids dream of an opportunity like this to play for their state and proudly wear the jersey.

“What an honour it is to give these local league legends that opportunity, it’s just about the love of the game.”
