Government Marketers learn about Radio at Gold Coast conference

Regional Radioworks, in partnership with The Australian Marketing Institute, hosted 250 Government Marketers on the Gold Coast earlier this month, showing them the benefits of using radio in their marketing.

A highlight of the three day conference was KPMG’s Bernard Salt and the gala Thursday night Dinner presented by Radioworks, featuring Brian Cadd.

Salt spoke about the implications of a shifting population, the impact of ageing Baby Boomers and The Man Drought. Delegates experienced Radio throughout the three days with several Gold Coast experiences and regular promotional giveways. They also got a taste of programming with live broadcasts from the conference by Stuey Paton’s Night Mix, Nelly at Night and the interactive dance program Revolution.

Zenith Media’s Anne Parsons commented on the importance of government advertising, saying “it now represents 5% of Total Advertising in Australia.”

Radioworks National Sales Director Daryl Mitchell has worked closely with the marketing institute for the last three years on increasing regional market awareness to Government Marketers. He told radioinfo:

“The fact that the Government Marketing Conference is now far more successful by being held on the Gold Coast supports the message we take to the market.”
