Grant Broadcasters partners with AudioBoom

Grant Broadcasters, the family-owned-and-operated radio network founded in 1942 by broadcast pioneer Walter Grant, is now working with AudioBoom to host, distribute and monetize on-demand versions of the network’s radio programs.

Grant Broadcasters’ diverse family of local stations includes 7HOFM , Illawarra’s WAVE FM, River949 in south-east Queensland, Hot100, STAR1063 in Townsville, and K Rock 95.5 in Geelong, a hub for AFL coverage.

The partnership with AudioBoom will enable syndication of these shows and more to platforms such as iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher and TuneIn, while providing dedicated followers with content on Facebook and Twitter via AudioBoom’s embeddable player.

“The arrangement with AudioBoom reinforces our ongoing commitment to serve the communities in which we operate by offering them more ways to listen and engage,” say Rohan Dwyer, Group General Manager at Grant Broadcasters. “Now our listeners can access local personalities and their favourite shows anytime and anywhere on a device of their choosing.”

In addition to expanded distribution, AudioBoom will help Grant Broadcasters with increased monetisation via pre and post-roll audio adverts along with display ads and potential sponsorships.

“Years ago Walter Grant battled the broadcast establishment to get a bit more power to his transmitter,” says AudioBoom Head of Operations Blair Hughes. AudioBoom was founded with the same principles of innovation and service to the listener that has energized Grant Broadcasters for decades. We’re proud to be a part of their continued investment in regional audiences.”
