Greg Henricks back home and talking again

To my family, friends and fellow broadcast travellers.

What a difference a week makes. Last Friday I emerged from a week-long induced coma feeling pretty “dusty” and today and I am back at home on the Gold Coast ready to soak up a little of the Indy atmosphere, at least from a distance.

I will be at home for the next 12 days taking nourishment – breakfast, lunch and dinner through nasal gastric delivery (eating through my nose!)

The surgery to remove my tumour, which caused so many problems when complications set in a fortnight ago, will now go ahead on Melbourne Cup Day.This will be third time lucky and I urge you to include Hendo in all your trifectas.

My son Blake was so adept during the recent crisis, he is returning to keep you informed from Cup Day on.

I take this opportunity to thank each and everyone one you from the bottom of heart for your support, prayers and love. I am now acutely aware of what it means to have so
many truly great people in your corner when facing adversity. You are an incredibly powerful force!

I know I am not the only person in the world dealing with any number of issues, but I doubt too many would enjoy the level of support I have.

Seeya after the Cup !
