Hadley and 2GB are being sued by a Sydney developer

Western Sydney developer Jean Nassif is suing 2GB host Ray Hadley for defamation over a series of broadcasts about his residential developments.

According to The Age/SMH, Mr Nassif, who heads the Toplace development group, and four of his companies, launched Federal Court action against Hadley and his employer Harbour Radio on July 17 over eight broadcasts spanning almost a year to June this year.

Lawyers for Mr Nassif say in court documents the broadcasts conveyed a range of false and defamatory claims.

Hadley and Harbour Radio are expected to file a defence to charges.

Apart from seeking damages and legal costs,  Mr Nassif and his lawyers are asking for an order restraining 2GB from repeating the allegations, and an order to remove the offending broadcasts from the 2GB website and social media.
