The Ray Hadley/John Stanley is a friendly running gag that has been running on both respective programs.
It started in 2022 where the presenters were making jabs at their age.
On the Ray Hadley program tx'ed 09-02-2023 there was a reference John Stanley commenting at the Graeco-Roman wrestling match at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and the recointing of humor generated at the mispronunciation of the surname of the competitor Péter Farkas sounding offensive. Obviously the mispronunciation was not aired.
Overall the friendly rivalry and humour is a great way of cross-promoting programs. The humour generated by one program generates interest in the other program and vice versa.
Thank you,
