Halsey shouldn’t be sad, rising 145 spins to No.13: AirCheck survey

This week Halsey continued to rise up the AirCheck National Radio Airplay chart with ‘You Should Be Sad’ landing at No.13 with 537 spins. 21 stations across Australia spun the track with The Edge Sydney out in front adding 45 spins, followed by 101.9 Fox FM Melbourne spinning the track 39 times. The KIIS network upped spins by 286% this week, meanwhile for the Hit network spins were up 138%.

After 11 weeks on radio, The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’ reigned atop the chart last week with 893 spins. A total of 24 stations played the track last week, while BayFM Geelong began spinning the track adding 9 plays. ‘Blinding Lights’ gained 93 spins on last week, to inch ahead of Dua Lipa’s ‘Don’t Start Now’.

American singer and rapper Doja Cat earned her first entry onto the AirCheck Airplay Chart with ‘Say So’ in at No.28. Nova100 Melbourne added 33 spins for the track, followed by The Edge and the rest of the Nova network. The release earned popularity through a Tik Tok dance challenge which began circulating in December last year.
