Shane Healy has been appointed General Manager of 3AW and Magic 693.

Healy recently returned to Melbourne as Director of Marketing for Southern Cross Broadcasting after almost seven years in Perth as General Manager of 6PR and 96FM.

Southern Cross Broadcasting CEO Tony Bell told radioinfo “Healy is an ideal successor to Graham Mott who was recently promoted to the new position of General Manager – Southern Cross Radio.”

Bell said the experience Healy gained in his role in Perth, coupled with his strong sales and operational background, gave him an excellent grounding for the challenging position.

Shane Healy joined Southern Cross in 1989 as 3AW Sports Director and also called AFL football for 3AW for six years before moving to Perth in 1996.
