This Thursday, the annual CBAA Conference festivities begin with a special welcome event hosted by Adelaide’s youth station Fresh 92.7, with three days of sessions to follow.
The keynote address, taking place on Friday morning, will be delivered by Greig Pickhaver (a.k.a HG Nelson).
A long time supporter of community broadcasting, Pickhaver has been a presenter on Triple R in Melbourne and part of FBi Radio’s Fire Up team as a special guest presenter. He also supported the Commit To Community Radio campaign.
In 2010, Greig received a Member of the Order Of Australia for service to the media as a presenter and entertainer and as a supporter of a range of charitable organisations.
Other guest speakers will include CBAA President Adrian Basso, GM Jon Bissett, Kath Letch, Steve Ahern, Jon Brown, Nick Ingram and Michael Schubert.
National community radio current affairs program The Wire will be broadcast from the conference on Friday thanks to collaboration between Radio Adelaide, 2SER and 4EB with contributions from CAAMA Radio, RTR FM and Joy 94.9.
