SCA station Hit 100.7 dominated the Darling Downs ratings in the latest Xtra Insights survey of the region (down 4.6 to 25.8) with no other station having a more than 10% share of the audience. There are positives for Triple M 864, with the station up 1.6 to 7.0, and the local breakfast show provided by Lee Faulkner up 1.7 to 7.0 as well. Faulkner (pictured) has been with 4GR, now Triple M, for more than 2 decades, and is likely to be there to celebrate its 100th birthday next year. Hit 100.7’s breakfast show is the network regional pairing of Bronte and Lakey, down 5.0 to 26.7.
Elsewhere ABC Southern Queensland took a hit, down 3.7 to 9.5 for all audiences 10+ and 3.8 on breakfast too, but ahead of Hit in audiences 55+. The Super Radio Network’s 4AK and 4WK, both of whom were providing a local breakfast show, were both down 1.3 overall with 4AK registering just a 0.7% share.
Cumulative listening was fascinating in the region with Triple M and triple j (steady with a 6.6 audience share) seeing more than 10K cumulative growth. The numbers were suggestive of a lot of flicking of the dial across the day.
