On Friday, Newcastle’s Hit106.9 brekky trio Nick, Jess & Ducko attempted to create a human whirlpool in the local Newcastle Ocean Baths.

The attempt came after a listener, Spencer from Carrington, posed the question on a Newcastle Facebook page “… can a human whirlpool be achieved in the baths?”

Before the baths close for renovation, the team broadcasted the show live and were joined by Spencer himself, Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes and almost 100 Newcastle listeners to make the whirlpool happen.
