HIT99.7 is on top in the latest Griffith Survey results – Xtra Insights

Despite both stations losing audience, hit99.7 Riverina and 963 Triple M Riverina still claim a combined audience of over 50% as the stations most listened to in the latest Xtra Insights survey released today.

Local ABC station ABC Riverina scored the biggest increase, coming in at third position behind the two commercial stations.

This is the first survey since the two commercial radio stations were rebranded to hit 99.7 Riverina MIA (previously Star FM) and 963 Triple M Riverina MIA (previously 2RG) in late 2016, and was conducted by Xtra Insights between 11 February and 16 March and involved 800 participants.

hit99.7 still claims top spot with 30.8 (-4.7) from Triple M’s 23.4 (-8.9) with the ABC Riverina gaining 5.4 to 15.1.

Claire & Sam (hit99.7) are the most listened to breakfast program, down 4.9 to 29.3, while Triple M’s Breakfast with Mandy is down 9.6 to 23.2.


The stations serve a population of 68,000 people aged 10+ in the Riverina and Murrumbidgee Irrigation Areas (MIA), one of Australia’s richest food producing areas. 
Griffith is the second of more than 20 radio surveys that will be undertaken across regional Australia in 2019.
