Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has announced that former NRL and Bronco’s champion Corey Parker (pictured) will join Ian Healy to host SENQ Breakfast in 2025. Current co-host with Heals, Pat Welsh, is semi-retiring after fifty years as a sports journalist, commentator, and sports editor.
Breakfast with Corey Parker & Ian Healy starts January 2025 through SENQ 693am and the digital station. Corey has been a regular already across the 2024 NRL season for SENQ, and Pat will fill in when Corey or Ian have other commitments, with Ian a regular and excellent commentator for Australian cricket over the last 25 years.
“It’s a privilege to share the studio with an icon of sport in Heals, and to partner and work with the team at SEN Breakfast/SENQ. I’m looking forward to bringing in the big-name guests, having strong debate on all the tough topics, and engaging with our passionate audience to deliver a first-class sports show. I couldn’t be more excited for what this show will deliver.”
This will mean that two Parkers are on breakfast radio for Brisbane listeners in 2025. Corey for SENQ, and his wife Margaux is part of the Triple M Brisbane breakfast team of Marto, Margaux and Dan.
Things might get competitive next year in the Parker household!
