iHeartRadio’s true blue welcome party for DNCE

iHeartRadio Australia is rolling out the true blue carpet to welcome US funk pop sensation DNCE to Australia.

KIIS Presents iHeartRadio LIVE with DNCE.

It will be an Aussie-themed party worthy of the fun and excitement of the special guests and one that any music lover won’t want to miss.

The August 6 event will be held in Melbourne and DNCE will be treating fans to a live performance and party complete with budgie smugglers, meat pies and Pavlova by the ocean (or cake, if they prefer).

DNCE’s breakout hit, Cake By The Ocean (taken from their debut EP SWAAY) reached Top 5 on the Top 40 US radio airplay chart, becoming one of the most played songs of the year.

Internationally, “Cake By The Ocean” was #1 on the UK airplay chart for four consecutive weeks. It reached Top 10 on iTunes in over 10 countries and to date, global consumption for the song is over 3.5 million.

The track has gone Double Platinum in Australia and has hit #5 on the iTunes chart, #6 on the ARIA chart, and #6 on the Australian Airplay chart.

The LA quartet fronted by multiplatinum superstar Joe Jonas with drummer Jack Lawless, bassist/keyboardist Cole Whittle, and guitarist JinJoo are heading to Australia in August.

Fans can win their way into this money-can’t-buy experience by heading to iHeartRadio.com.au and enter – the major prize is one double pass, airfares and accommodation.

Fans who aren’t lucky enough to catch the live performance will be able to see it exclusively on Australia’s number one television music show, The Loop hosted by Scott Tweedie and Olivia Phyland, as part of a new partnership with iHeartRadio Australia.

The partnership sees The Loop on Network Ten’s ELEVEN broadcast exclusive content from iHeartRadio Australia’s unrivalled live events every week, bringing audiences closer than ever before to the music they love.

iHeartRadio Australia’s Content Director Brett “Nozz” Nossiter said: “The iHeartRadio LIVE series just keeps getting hotter. DNCE have an amazing, infectious energy and I know this Aussie themed party is going to be an experience the band and their fans will love, and an iHeartRadio LIVE performance we’ll never forget.”

Head of iHeartRadio Australia Geraint Davies said: “We continue to deliver to the iHeartRadio promise, of getting Australians closer to the music and artists they love. We could not keep up this unprecedented iHeartRadio Live event series, without the continued support of all the record labels, in this case Universal Music.”
