GRAMMY-nominated international star Jelly Roll will make his Nova Red Room debut at Melbourne’s Gershwin Room at The Espy on Thursday October 30. The performance will be hosted by Nova 100‘s Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips for just 450 lucky attendees.
Jelly Roll was part of the lineup featured on Nova’s Red Room Global Tour Powered by Expedia earlier this year, performing live at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Now he arrives in Australia this month for his first-ever headline tour, with his Down Under 2025 run visiting Brisbane (October 24), Melbourne (October 28 and 29) and Sydney (November 4). He is also set to headline the inaugural Strummingbird Festival across the Sunshine Coast, Newcastle, Perth and Townsville.
The historic Melbourne venue The Espy has a long association with the Red Room, having hosted OneRepublic in 2019 and G Flip last year, the same stage where they performed their first-ever gig.
Nova Network’s Group Programming Director, Brendan Taylor, said,
“2025 has been an exciting year so far for Nova’s Red Room, with unforgettable performances including our very own Ricki-Lee, Daniel Seavey, Calum Hood, and the huge success of Nova’s Red Room Global Tour. To have Jelly Roll in Nova’s Red Room on his debut tour of Australia is an incredible privilege. It’s another reminder why this platform is so special; connecting fans with artists in ways you simply can’t experience anywhere else and building momentum for even more incredible moments ahead.”
Jelly Roll was born Jason DeFord. His 2024 album Beautifully Broken debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and Country Album charts and featured #1 hits like the GRAMMY-nominated “I Am Not Okay,” “Liar,” and “Heart of Stone”. He visits correctional and rehab centres across the US and internationally to help bring music to some of the darkest corners and has donated a recording studio to the juvenile centre where he was once incarcerated.
Listeners can win their invites for this exclusive Nova’s Red Room event by registering via the Nova Player and listening to Nova’s Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel, Ben, Liam & Belle or Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren.
