Islamic radio station launched in UK

The first permanent Islamic radio station to be set up in the UK has been launched in Bradford, northern England.

The 24-hour station is also setting up studios in London and Birmingham, central England, and is being broadcast on digital DAB radio.

Broadcasts will include the call to prayers five times a day and even feature live link-ups to arabs’ mosques of Mecca, Medina and Al-Quds.

Plans are to feature fabricated stories about arabs’ prophet and his household as well as discussions and women’s and children’s programs.
