Shawn Mendes delivered new music to the chart this week, with ‘Wonder’ debuting at No.15 on the AirCheck National Radio Airplay Chart with 439 spins. The track received adds from 15 stations nationwide, with the strongest support from the Nova network, accounting for almost half the week’s airplay. The five stations added 214 spins, averaging 43 spins per station.
The KIIS and Hit networks also jumped on board, KIIS Sydney and Melbourne adding 29 and 26 plays respectively while the Hit network averaged 21 spins per station.
After debuting at No.29 last week, Guy Sebastian’s ‘Love On Display’ continued to rise, gaining 144 spins, landing at No.19. The Nova and Hit networks contributed to the track’s ascent, upping spins by 213% and 193% respectively. 17 stations nationwide spun the track, with NewFM Newcastle adding the track last week.
Powderfinger entered the chart at No.33 with ‘Day By Day’ during its third week on air. The track earned spins across 11 stations, with the strongest backing from the Triple M network. Triple M Melbourne was out in front, adding 21 spins, while Hot Tomato, KRock, BayFM and NewFM also added spins.
KRock made the biggest change in airplay, upping spins by 433%, from 3 spins last week to 13 this week, while the Triple M network increased airplay by 177%.
