It’s on, Ben Hannant V Justin Hodges on June 29

This morning SEA FM 90.9 brekkie announcer and NRL legend Ben Hannant said yes to a fight against fellow State of Origin and Australian international representative and NRL Great, Justin Hodges.

The fight will take place in Brisbane on June 29, giving Hannant just a few weeks to get in shape, and while he’s had a few fights before, for this one he said he’ll be training twice a day at Nerang.

Ben is married to high school sweetheart Emma, and they have eight children.

He is a Queensland State of Origin and Australian international representative prop-forward who played for the North Queensland Cowboys, Brisbane Broncos, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Sydney Roosters, and a two-time premiership winner, with the Broncos in 2006 and the Cowboys in 2015.

Fellow NRL Great Justin Hodges played with the Brisbane Broncos and the Sydney Roosters, where he won the 2002 NRL Premiership, before returning to the Broncos in 2005, and winning the 2006 NRL Premiership (with Hannant). He also captained the Broncos.

It’s going to be a fight for the ages, mate against mate on the canvas.
