It’s Rush Hour for David

No more early get ups for David Collins as details of his new Sports role with KOFM have been announced today.

The move was mooted when the announcement came through that he would not be a part of the KOFM Breakfast show next year. Collins will present a new show on KOFM called “The Rush Hour” to be heard in Drive. The show will be co-hosted by another big sports fan, Nick Blanch.

Talking about Collins’ move, SCA Newcastle GM, Steve Smith, said “Sport has long been part of KOFM’s DNA and listeners have told us they want broader coverage, and now we have the perfect local person to grow KOFM’s Sport division.”

David Colins has a long history of involvement in sport, having been a manager of some of the biggest names in Australian sport in the past. Collins commented “this will be something brand new and exciting for Newcastle – with plenty of auudience participation. Sit back and enjoy the ride”

Tanya Wilks, the “other half” of the long running KOFM breakfast program will continue on the show with a new on-air partner, Steve G. As reported previously on RadioInfo, He is well known to Newcastle listeners having been a long time part of NXFM breakfast. His former co-host Kim Bauer has moved over to breakfast on New Fm.
