Jabez Manaika had lost his sight completely by the time he was nine. He was asked to stay home from school with music his comfort and companion. Now he and co-host George Ho’atamauri host a popular breakfast show for the Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation (SIBC), the first person with a vision impairment to do so in a country where disability still holds a stigma.
