Jason Sole joins RCS’s Musicpoint

Jason Sole (aka “The Soleman”) has joined the team at Musicpoint as Client Services Manager for Record Companies.

Jason brings a wealth of knowledge to Musicpoint, with 12 years experience in broadcasting.

Musicpoint, Australian owned and invented, is a web-based service for record companies to deliver their new music releases directly to radio stations across Australia.

It launched in December 2002 and now delivers more than 7,000 songs per month to over 500 radio stations around Australia. The major record companies, Universal Music, Warner Music and EMI Music all use Musicpoint to deliver their new music, artist’s profiles and priority songs along with ‘Video on Demand’ directly to radio stations in a secure digital format.

Jason Sole is well known in industry circles -recently for his nine years on air with 2DAYFM in Sydney, and formerly at Triple M in Adelaide. He also has a passion and commitment to dance music, having created the dance music brand “Remedy”. Jason’s company “Sole Entertainment” continues to develop other varied business interests.

In his new role with Musicpoint, Jason will be responsible for building relationships with all record companies, including the independent labels – a growing sector in the Australian music industry.

Radio industry veteran and Musicpoint Managing Director, Keith Williams, told radioinfo: “Jason has the benefit of knowing the inside workings of a radio station, and as such understands the relationship between record companies and radio, so he is a major asset to our team”.

Jason added: “My two main passions are without a doubt music and radio. Anything that melds the two is a bonus, and Musicpoint is certainly a quality service.”

Musicpoint is a wholly owned subsidiary of RCS Australia Pty Ltd.
