I apologise in advance to those of you seeking to avoid Whamageddon, Mariah or the thought that Christmas is less than 50 days away. Details of a P1 Media Group study of US individuals most likely to listen to a Christmas themed radio station (who ARE these people?) have given a list of the America’s favourite Christmas songs for 2023.

The survey yielded other results that may or may not trouble you:

  • Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas was No 1 last year. Jingle Bell Rock was No 1 for this and the other six years previously.
  • Those surveyed indicated they’d like Christmas music played up to New Years Eve.
  • People really like Christmas music! When played 50 of the top 60 Christmas songs rated here individuals gave them an appeal score of 75 or higher on a 100-point scale.
