Jo & Lehmo’s Suburban Soundtrack Party

Footscray took centre stage last night at Jo & Lehmo’s Suburban Soundtrack party as Diesel wowed a crowd of Melbourne locals with a special performance celebrating our incredible city.

A crowd of 100 listeners and local residents packed into Footscray’s Back Alley Sally’s with a host of local VIPs including Greens MP Colleen Hartland, and music industry legend Michael Gudinski joining a night of great music and entertainment.

A live art demonstration set off the urban Footscray vibes on the night while fans sang and danced to a set by Diesel including his huge hits All Come Together and Tip of My Tongue.
Throughout November GOLD 104.3 listeners have been celebrating the incredible city we live in by helping build Jo & Lehmo’s Suburban Soundtrack – a playlist that represents10 of Melbourne’s iconic suburbs as voted by listeners.
Not surprisingly, Melbourne chose ‘We are the Champions’ for AFL winning suburb Footscray. And the celebrations continued after listeners voted Footscray as the host location of Jo & Lehmo’s Suburban Soundtrack Party.

Whether you’re a ‘Working Class Man’ or fancy a glass of ‘Red, Red Wine’ there is something for every Melbourne music lover on Jo & Lehmo’s Suburban Soundtrack.

Music has always been a huge part of Melbourne’s heart and soul. In a city as steeped in the arts, rich in natural beauty and cultural diversity as ours, music provides the soundtrack to our memories, heartbeat of our stories and the vibe of the suburbs where we live.

Of the final Suburban Soundtrack playlist, Jo said: “I have loved our listeners’ suggestions for their suburbs. So fun and creative! We could have filled the 10 tracks many times over, but the listeners voting definitely pulled together the best mix of incredible songs, and a great tribute to our beautiful city.

“I am absolutely pumped to be partying with our listeners to celebrate our suburban soundtrack. Diesel playing live guarantees that this will be a ripping shindig and an appropriate way to finish off a great year,” Lehmo added.

There was no shortage of creative suggestions with listeners nominated songs from their first concert, iconic film clips through to songs that remind them of a favourite place or time in their life.
