Joburg Radio Days fast approaching


The program has been released for South Africa’s international radio conference, Joburg Radio Days, which will be held at Wits University from July 4-6.

Highlights include top international speakers, including world-renowned author Valerie Geller, UK radio futurologist James Cridland, British social media expert Claire Wardle, as well as US researcher Larry Rosin, the controller of QFM in Kenya, Esther Macharia, National Public Radio’s Alex Chadwick and many others.


On the domestic front, top South African radio leaders, including 5FM’s Aisha Mohamed, veteran Anthony Duke, programming guru Neil Johnson, SABC’s Lesley Ntloko, personality Phat Joe, 702’s Pheladi Gwangwa, Capricorn’s Given Mkhari and many more will be speaking.

The major focus will be radio in the digital age: how to use social media to build audiences, prospects for digital and internet broadcasting, multi-platform strategies and so on.
