John Bleby wins inaugural ‘MO’ radio award

John Bleby has won the inaugural radio category in this year’s Australian Entertainment ‘MO’ Awards for his work last year at SA FM.

FARB CEO, Joan Warner congratulated Bleby on his Award, which was presented at a gala dinner at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre last night (24 June).

Warner said: “John’s experience and popularity as a radio presenter make him a great winner of this inaugural Award… All of the nominees for the Award are to be congratulated and all deserve recognition for their outstanding work as live performers resulting in very successful radio programs.”

Warner said the inclusion of a radio category in the ‘MO’ Awards highlights the importance of radio as a live entertainment medium, which is enjoyed by millions of Australians every day.

“FARB’s sponsorship of the Award has been in the planning with the ‘MO’ organisers for almost two years. We hope to develop the category further next year to recognise individual radio performers separately from a team of performers.”
