Beautiful and valuable pieces of art, furniture, jewelry, clothing and even footwear from the estate of the late broadcaster John Laws are up for auction through Bonhams.

He and his much loved wife Caroline (pictured) were well travelled and collected exceptional examples of Impressionist paintings and sculpture; English, French and Italian furniture of the 18th and 19th centuries, Antiquities, Decorative arts, luxury goods and rare, first editions books.

Bonhams will share the collection over a series of five auctions, some timed online and others live. The first live auction takes place at 6pm on Tuesday June 2 at Bonhams’ Sydney saleroom located at 168 Queen St, Woollahra. The second is the following evening June 3, which is the largest single-owner collection of prestige timepieces to come to market in Australia.
