Jonesy & Amanda rock AFTRS

Popular duo were a hit with the next generation of radio stars

For the second year running, WSFM 101.7’s Jonesy & Amanda played the role of ‘teacher’ this week, at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) as guest lecturers for the school’s radio students.

The duo provided first-hand information on how their careers have developed and what to expect from the radio industry.

Of the session, Jonesy said “I can talk about radio all day. It’s nice to have people listen to me without their eyes glazing over… I think.”

Amanda added, “It was great to meet my future bosses. I hope they appreciated how well I crawled up to them”.

Head of Radio, Natalie Pozdeev, was full of praise for the breakfast duo. “Jonesy and Amanda were brilliant. They covered all kinds of relevant skills, like what makes a good duo and how to achieve longevity in the industry. The students took a lot away from it.”
