Josh Szeps announced on air today that he will leave ABC Radio Sydney Afternoons at the end of this year.
That’s two afternoon announcer changes for Sydney’s talk stations this week, with 2GB’s Deborah Knight also being shifted from afternoons to host Money News.
ABC Radio Sydney Manager, Steve Ahern, said:
“We’ll miss him greatly. His mixture of playfulness, intellect and fearlessness is one of a kind. We wish him all the best and hope he can contribute his significant talents to the ABC again in the future.”
Szeps leaves to focus more on his podcast Uncomfortable Conversations and other media ventures, including a streaming YouTube show with Diamantina Media (the team behind the Betoota Advocate).
His final day will be Friday December 22 with a replacement due to be announced in early December.
