The Nova and Hit networks were the forces behind the upward movement, doubling last week’s spins, while the release earned adds from i98 and WaveFM in Wollongong, The Edge Sydney, Hot Tomato on the Gold Coast and KRock Geelong.

Unexpectedly, Australian artist Gotye received a song writing credit on the track due to similarities to his chart-topper ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’.

17 year old Sydney rapper The Kid Laroi went from strength to strength this week as ‘Without You’ reached the summit. 23 out of the 26 stations spinning the track increased airplay, with Mix94.5 Perth making the greatest change, upping spins by 200%. The Nova and KIIS networks were the top supporters of the release, with each station adding over 50 instances.

Fellow local act Dean Lewis delivered new music to the chart in ‘Falling Up’. The song rose 26 frames to No.24, earning support from 30 stations including the Hit, KIIS, Nova and Triple M networks. The Hit network upped airplay by 250% with an average of 23 spins per station, while the track earned adds from KRock and i98.
