Kerrang Magazine goes on air at Triple M

Specialty rock publication Kerrang! magazine is taking to the airwaves in Sydney and New Zealand.

Captain Cooke Productions Australia has joined forces with EMAP Australia and Triple M Sydney to launch Kerrang! Radio.

Specialising in punk, hardcore, rock and metal – both underground and mainstream, local and international – Kerrang! magazine launched in Australia last September, “and has since provided readers with an “excess all areas” pass to the world of rock.”

This Australian launch came in the wake of the success of Kerrang! UK, “long regarded as the rock bible since its inception over 20 years ago. This international strength gives Kerrang! enormous depth.”

Kerrang! Radio will feature the active rock music of established artists such as Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Metallica and System Of A Down, while also exposing and breaking up-and-coming local and international bands. It will also feature interviews, all the up-to-date news and other content from Kerrang! magazine.

Kerrang! Radio will be heard on 104.9 Triple M Sydney from 10pm til midnight Friday nights, and Channel Z in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch from 7pm-9pm Sunday nights, with hosts Byron “Rock” Cooke [Triple M] and Rod Yates [editor of Kerrang!]
