Kevin Borich into Blues Hall of Fame – Free Audio of rare 1960 recording

On Friday (21st November 2003) Australian Guitar legend Kevin Borich will be inducted into the Australian Blues Foundation Hall of Fame. The event marks 40 years of performing, 22 Albums, and 11 top 30 singles throughout his career.

At the event ScreenSound Australia’s Coordinator of the Australian Music Project, Dan Fernandes, will present Kevin with a CD of songs he recorded in New Zealand in 1960, when he was just 12 years old.

The songs, originally recorded onto two acetate discs, were given to ScreenSound Australia – The National Screen And Sound Archive, when Kevin visited during the Long Way to the Top Tour and was impressed with the restoration of such recordings.

Here is one of those songs, “I’m Gonna Knock on your Door”. Other songs recorded by Kevin include “Wooden Heart”, “Corrina Corinna”, “Teddy Bear” and “Po Kari Kari Ana” Kevin is currently recording his new album, due for release next month.
