KIIS Breakfast duo Kyle & Jackie O have teamed for a seventh year with Toymate and Melbourne-based charity, Koala Kids to bring joy this Christmas season to sick children in hospital.
Koala Kids is a volunteer-driven charity providing support to children, young people and their families during cancer treatment. Their programs provide distraction, comfort and joy to paediatric wards in hospitals across Victoria and Tasmania as well as to around 600 families in their homes.
Toymate CEO Danny Bloom rang into The Kyle & Jackie O Show to make a donation, saying:
“We are thrilled to be partnering again with KIIS to support even more children this year in both Sydney and Melbourne. And as part of our partnership and working together on the Kyle & Jackie O Toy Drive, we are proud to be increasing our donation to $120,000 this year.”
On the donation, Kyle Sandilands said:
“When we go into the hospitals, it makes you, as an adult, feel very small and humbled when seeing these tiny little kids with their tubes. But through the sickness, the cancers, the brain tumours and the suffering, they are still so happy. It melts the toughest heart down to nothing.”
Jackie ‘O’ Henderson added:
“When Toymate come to the hospitals and hand out the toys, the difference it makes to these kids is so big. It is just so lovely that Toymate are so generous every year.”
You can also contribute to the cause by visiting any local Toymate store and purchasing a gift card to donate.
