Cameron Diaz hangs up on Kyle who earns a stern rebuke from Jackie and the incident makes news on the other side of the world.
It was odds on that Kyle Sandilands would upset someone on air sooner or later. This time, it was Cameron Diaz who along with Jason Segel was on the phone promoting their new movie Sex Tape on the KIIS 106.5 Kyle and Jackie O breakfast show.
Things were going well enough until Kyle ventured into territory that was off limits as far as Ms Diaz was concerned – starting with Kyle’s jibe about her good friend Drew Barrymore’s past substance abuse.
Diaz snapped back, “I’m sure Kyle you’ve never been through a drug phase, have you? Or alcoholism or anything like that? You’re pretty clean, always get it right?”
Not taking the hint, Kyle dug deeper into her private life by bringing up her new relationship with Benji Madden. After Diaz wound the phone call up prematurely, Jackie got stuck into Kyle for ruining the interview.
The incident even made the Irish Independent.
