LARI pursuing expansion plans in Poland

Radiostacja, the second station operated by Lagardère Active Radio International (LARI) in Poland, has become PLANETA FM. Planeta will extend its network to include 18 Polish cities, the largest being Warsaw, Cracow, Gdansk, Lodz and Poznan.

LARI’s CEO Jean-Christophe Lestra says the launch is “an illustration of the Group’s commitment to increasing its footprint in Poland, a high-growth market where we are currently pursuing an ambitious policy aimed at developing new formats as exemplified by Planeta FM.”

Planeta FM, a radio station exclusively dedicated to party hits, is formatted with the greatest Electro, R&B and Dance artists of the moment. Planeta FM – 100% Dancefloor, offers exclusive new programs that feature weekly mixes by the world’s greatest DJs such as Armin Van Buuren, Leo Coosto and Dominic Minelli. It targets primarily the 15 – 29 year-olds.

A new version of the Internet site is also available on line at WWW.PLANETA.FM.

Sam Zniber, Vice President for Programming at Lagardère Active Radio International, has told radioinfo:

“Young Polish audiences are fans of electronic music and rave about DJ Stars, Planeta FM reflects these new trends and the new music; its goal is to promote new talent and develop new DJs through targeted programming and its Internet site.”
