You've just identified the biggest weakness in Audition - being able to name clips or add comments. A single file that's sliced up and appears multiple times in a mix can get very confusing. But, once you're sucked into the interoperability between all that's in the Adobe Creative Suite it's hard to step outside for a competing product.
