2UE’s John Laws and 2GB’s Alan Jones figure prominently in a list of Australia’s richest entertainers.

BRW magazine’s top 50 earning entertainers is out today and has Laws at #11 with $9 million and Jones at #19 with $5 million in gross earnings for 2004.

Also in the 50 are 2GB’s Ray Hadley and 3AW’s Rex Hunt – each with $2 million.

The four broadcasters and just about everyone else on the list, however, have been heavily outdone by children’s entertainers, The Wiggles, who are again on top with a staggering $45 million (up from $14m in 2003)!

Nicole Kidman comes in second with $40 million, followed by Russell Crowe ($27m), AC/DC ($18m), Naomi Watts ($17m), another children’s act, Hi-5 ($15m), Cate Blanchett and Hugh Jackman ($13m), Heath Ledger ($12m) and Powderfinger ($12.5m).
