Leaderships gains and changes for NOVA and SCA – Seven West

There have been some significant changes for NOVA Entertainment and the newly merged SCA – Seven West with some clearly stated in ASX and media releases, some happening more quietly.

Starting with Nova, on Monday March 6 Sarah Cohen was announced in a newly created role of Commercial Director – Sydney. Meanwhile, at the start of this year, Tony Aldridge (pictured above) also joined Nova as a Program Director. Tony had been KIIS 1065 Content Director up until May last year when the network implemented a slew of job cuts. Nova haven’t yet shared which program he is managing, but he was Assistant Program Director with the Network for Nova 969 for two and a half years, a decade ago.

Also on March 6, via an ASX announcement, Sarah Tinsley was announced to be leaving SCA and her role as Company Secretary. Sarah, who had been with SCA for a decade, was appointed Chief Legal Officer as well as Company Secretary a year ago. In thanking her for her contribution Warren Coatsworth was announced her successor, effective immediately. Warren is the current Company Secretary of Seven West Media and will be responsible for joint communication with the ASX into the future.

There has been additional departures at Seven too, with SCA execs taking on greater responsibilities. Group managing Director of Seven TV Angus Ross has gone, along with Chief Operating Officer Trent Dickeson who leaves in the coming weeks. As a result SCA’s Stephen Haddad (pictured main) and Seb Rennie become COO and chief commercial officer respectively for the merged entity. These changes at Seven add to Jeff Howard’s sudden departure as Managing Director & CEO only a couple of weeks after he had officially assumed the new role and the day before the first release of the joint entity’s ASX results on February 24.

Heith Mackay Cruise has taken on the interim responsibility of Executive Chairman and John Kelly became interim CEO – TV and Audio while a search began for a permanent replacement.
