Leroy Brown has launched Air Heads, the book

Leroy Brown has launched a book based on his successful Air Heads podcast series.

Aimed at anyone who has ever considered a career in radio but has no idea where to begin, Air Heads, A Guide To Great Radio, has been written drawing on over two decades of experience in radio that has seen Leroy move from a community station in Whyalla along a path that took him to 4VL Charleville, 5RM Berri, Hot 100 in Darwin, Triple M nights and two stints at 88.9 Light FM.

In his book he recounts the highs and lows of working in radio, including working with a diva and running across a crocodile.

Leroy says “When I got into radio 23+ years ago there was no handbook. Around 7 years ago I started writing down some thoughts about my learnings over the years and before I knew it I was sitting on pages of radio wisdom I just had to share.

“Air Heads is a mix between some personal experiences that have made me a better broadcaster and some tips to help young announcers get started in the world’s best industry.”
