Life FM fills Adelaide children’s bellies and lunchboxes again

Life FM Adelaide is filling hearts, stomachs and lunchboxes again in 2024 with more than 800 school lunches made for children who might otherwise miss out on a meal.

Since 2022, Life FM has partnered with Cos We Care, a volunteer run organisation who help Adelaide’s homeless, to collect lunch boxes for school kids. In the past Cos We Care provided food handouts without a lunch box. To remove any negative stigma around receiving such handouts Life FM created Lunch Box Legends to help school kids have a delicious and healthy lunchbox lunch and dignity, equality and self esteem.

Spread over 12 schools, 800 lunches are made for kids who are missing out on the meal with 533 lunch boxes donated by listeners.

Ann Cooper founded Cos We Care and spoke with Life FM’s Jodie the Roadie when they gifted the donations to say how giving a child a lunch box allows them to have something of their own.
