Line-up changes at 4BC

4BC has announced a number of changes to the station’s current line up. General Manager David McDonald has told radioinfo of the lineup reshuffle.

Tony Murphy begins next Monday as the new Evening host on NEWS TALK 1116 4BC between 8:00pm till Mid-night Monday to Friday. Murphy is well known in Queensland and throughout Australia for his successful career in both radio and television. He is still fondly remembered as “Murph the Surf” from his early days in radio.

Murphy has also presented Good Morning Australia for the TEN Network and more recently has been the successful host of the Saturday and Sunday night show on NEWS TALK 1116 4BC.

Tony Johnston one of the newest voices at NEWS TALK 1116 4BC will be presenting a new show from 9:00am through to 12:00 midday on both Saturday and Sunday. This will begin on Saturday 16 October 2004. His co-host for Saturday will be long time Brisbane personality Donna Lynch who is well known to 4BC listeners.

Sunday’s show will be presented along with Madonna King who currently writes for the Courier Mail in Brisbane and has been heard as a regular guest on 4BC over the past 12 months. Johnston has been developing his talk radio talents with NEWS TALK 1116 4BC and previously presented the weather for Channel 7 in Brisbane.

Ian Maurice who recently requested a release from his Afternoon agreement to pursue his entertainment and TV career has been able to maintain his association with NEWS TALK 1116 4BC by presenting the Saturday (6:00pm to 12 Midnight) and Sunday Night (6:00pm to 9:00pm) shows that have been vacated by Tony Murphy beginning this Saturday.
