LiSTNR and SEN win at the 2024 Australian Football Media Awards

LiSTNR and Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) scored several wins at the 2024 Australian Football Media Awards (AFMAs).

SEN’s Kane Cornes received the Alf Brown Award as the best overall media performer of 2024. Gerard Whateley, host of SEN’s Whateley, was also highly commended in that category and was awarded the best radio match caller.

LiSTNR’s Footy Talk – Daily Australian Rules Podcast and the Ben and Harry Podcast also won Best Podcast – Football News/Issues/Analysis and Best Podcast – Football Entertainment respectively. Footy Talk host, Abbey Holmes, said of the win:

“The footy world moves fast, and it’s brilliant to keep up with all the action on Footy Talk. We balance hard-hitting analysis with plenty of fun, all led by some of the best minds in the game.”

LiSTNR’s Ben and Harry McKay with Will Ralston and their Best Podcast award

Ben and Harry Podcast host, Ben McKay, also said:

“It’s been a massive year for the show, and the team is thrilled to win this award among such great competition. We have loved connecting with Bombers, Blues, and footy fans every week, and we’re excited to take the podcast to the next level next season.”

For those not familiar with AFL, Ben and Harry McKay are twins who both played for Carlton with some believing only one of them actually existed, until Ben moved to Essendon this year and they played against each other for the first time, leading to one exclusive episode called the Ben VS Harry Podcast.
