Little Rockers Radio uses lullabies to help cope with pandemic

Coronavirus is having a huge impact on the wellbeing of Australian families and day-to-day parenting. Sleeplessness and anxiety are symptoms commonly felt during a public health emergency.

“The good news is,” says Sarah Morrissey, founder of Little Rockers Radio.

“Lullabies are proven to improve babies sleep and therefore help reduce anxiety in parents. Our all-night Baby Buddies Lullabies can lend a hand to many Australian families who need it.”

Morrissey is ‘Changing the world one play at a time’ with over $200,000 raised for charities that support children and their families via the online radio station that is for children from birth to 6.

Little Rockers latest collaboration nicknamed, The Dream Team is delivering more sleep to babies, children and their parents and, at the same time, easing the nappy stress being felt by around 250,000 children across Australia.

Baby swaddle and sleep suit experts Love to Dream have joined Little Rockers Radio and The Nappy Collective to bring better sleep to Australian families and make a social impact, supporting two new purpose radio programs by Little Rockers Radio and The Nappy Collective – Baby Buddy Lullabies and The Nappy Diaries.

According to Little Rockers long-time charity partner, The Nappy Collective, many families are struggling to buy nappies for babies and the COVID-19 pandemic is only making matters worse.

“Our research shows that around 1 in 10 families with kids in nappies can’t afford the nappies they need. As financial pressure and social isolation has increased under Covid-19, this figure is probably much higher now. With the support of Love to Dream and Little Rockers Radio, we will be able to supply at least 10,000 nappies to families that need them. We are so thrilled to partner with Little Rockers Radio and Love to Dream to bring Baby Buddy Lullabies and The Nappy Diaries to life and come together as a community to support each other at this time,” says Nataly, CEO The Nappy Collective.

This partnership sees Love to Dream donating $5000 to help The Nappy Collective provide nappies for children experiencing disadvantage across Australia.

“We’re really proud of our partnership with Little Rockers Radio,” said Love to Dream founder Hana-Lia Krawchuk, “We are committed to giving back and making a positive impact in the lives of children. Love to Dream is all about sleep. Our range, including the global multi-award-winning Swaddle Up, is designed for sleep, which is why partnering with Little Rockers Radio to support their Baby Buddy Lullabies program is a natural fit.”

Listeners can tune in tonight (and every night!) to the Love to Dream Baby Buddies Lullabies, carefully selected lullaby tunes, from 7pm – 6am AEST, to help calm their little one and prepare the both for a restful sleep.

The Nappy Diaries podcast also joins Little Rockers programming this week to examine all things baby – milestones, motherhood, meltdowns, marvels and important day-to-day topics like sleeping, feeding and nappies.

The Little Rockers App is available on the App Store as well as on iHeartRadio and TuneIn Radio.
