M-One Sydney event a success

Austereo’s M-One Sydney concert last weekend has been hailed as a success. The crowd of 30,000 was described as “good” by organisers, despite about 120 people being treated by ambulance officers during the event.

Most of those treated had ailments from sunburn to dehydration. There were several brawls in Bar areas at the Homebush event, but very few in the performance areas. 29 people were ejected by Police.

Security was high to avoid any risk of serious injury like that at the Big Day Out concert two years ago.

Concert goers who spoke to radioinfo said the event was well managed and that crowd barriers were V-shaped and well patrolled by security guards to avoid dangerous crowd crushes.
