AFTRS Director of Radio Mark Collier has posted on his Facebook page that he will be finishing up in two weeks.
The post reads:
“Quick heads up … I wind up in two weeks as Director Radio at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School.
It’s been a privilege to have sat in the chair for the past 4.5 years and to be a part of such a strong team helping develop the skills and bringing out the creativity in students who have the potential to become part of the backbone of our beloved broadcasting industry. Many already are.
Thanks to all those from inside and outside the industry who give their generous support to AFTRS Radio, to our staff and particularly to our students, and who have given such wise counsel and support to me.
This has been one of the most rewarding gigs I’ve had the pleasure of undertaking in a looooong broadcasting career.”
Confirmation today that the 2014 AFTRS’ Head of Radio will be Natalie Pozdeev.
Martin Brown is taking on the larger role of Director of Special Programs, which also includes Radio.
Mark you will be truly missed as you are one of the few real radio professionals in this industry. Good luck we'll share a quality red soon. Paul McGrath
