Mark Irvine moves to Drive on the Gold Coast

94.1FM Gold Coast has a new Drive host, moving Mark “Irvy” Irvine from weekends to weekdays.

Mark is a Brisbane boy who spent most of his free time on the Gold Coast (granted that was as a teenager in the 70s!) before going to Melbourne to join the legendary 3XY where he spent 4 years working with the Shirley Strachan from Skyhooks.

Mark was the first voice on Triple M Melbourne and he and Shirl ended up doing Breakfast on Triple M Brisbane for 2 years.

He has worked as a voice over guy on the Steve Vizard Show, The Weakest Link, Deal or No Deal, IQ Test Australia on the Nine Network and Thank God Your Here for the Ten Network.

Irvy has been with 94.1FM for 2 years doing Saturday Breakfast and Sunday morning’s specialised shows of 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

Mark’s Drive Show will feature more audience interaction, competitions and Gold Coast community events.

He’ll replace Gary Boughen whose moving into Special Show Production, producing show that include Ian Cousin’s Countdown, The Beatles Magical Musical Tour, Classic Album Show and Soundtracks Movie Music.
