Matt Rogers joins SEN’s Sportsday

Dual-code international star Mat Rogers will take on a new challenge in 2023, joining SEN as co-host of Sportsday across NSW and Queensland.

The announcement comes following the news that Gary Belcher will hang up the headphones after 10 years with Sportsday.

Rogers will share Sportsday hosting duties alongside Scott Sattler. The pair are also joined by producer-host Jason Matthews.

Sportsday will air extensively throughout the NSW and Queensland to over 40 radio markets or regions.

It is heard each night on the Super Radio Network’s 22 plus regional NSW and QLD stations, 2SM Sydney, and the Resonate network throughout central Queensland.

It is also live each night from 6pm on Sports Entertainment Network’s own SEN 1170amSENQ 693amSEN Gold Coast 1620am and through the regional SENTrack network.

Rogers says, “I’m extremely excited to be joining the SEN team and talking sport. If there is one thing I’m passionate about, it’s that! I can’t wait to get underway.”
SEN Queensland Content Manager, Jason Matthews, says Rogers will be a great addition.

He says, “We searched far and wide to find a new co-host for Sportsday. To our surprise we found a dual-code international who only lives 10 minutes from the studio!

“We can’t wait to have Mat join the team and for Mat to share some stories about footy, Wallabies tours and life in general – he’s done everything.”

Matthews also paid tribute to Belcher’s decade long run as Sportsday co-host, building a highly engaged and passionate audience and following.

“Badge has done an unbelievable job and he’ll be missed. But we respect his decision to take a step back at this time and he remains much loved in the SEN family.”

Rogers can be heard on Sportsday from February 27.
