Max Burford joins Ali Clarke in 2023

Max Burford will join Mix 102.3’s The Ali Clarke Breakfast Show in 2023, bringing a wealth of knowledge in sport and the local community to the on-air role.

Max is already a well-known name in Adelaide due to his ongoing work with 10 News First Adelaide, which recently announced his appointment to co-front Adelaide’s 10 News First weekday bulletin next year.

Burford says, “I’ve been fortunate enough to have had some great mentors throughout my career, and there aren’t many better places to continue growing and learning than under the wing of Ali Clarke. The early mornings will take some getting used to, but assuming I don’t sleep through the alarm it’s going to be a whole lot of fun talking nonsense with the people of Adelaide every day.”

Ali Clarke says, “From the first time I saw him host an awards night, I wanted to work with him as he’s bloody funny and a genuinely nice bloke. I can’t wait to have him as part of our family bringing all things sport and Adelaide.”

On the appointment,  ARN Chief Content Officer, Duncan Campbell, says, “It’s fantastic that Max has chosen ARN to help grow his radio career. Max is a talent of the future. I am looking forward to the relationship between Ali, Max and the team evolving on air for all of Adelaide to enjoy each morning.”

Max will be joining Ali Clarke and the rest of the on-air breakfast team, Shane LoweEddie BannonErin Phillips and newsreader Maria Gaban, when the show returns in January 2023.
