MCM Media to launch Aussie Vevo service

Radio and tv syndication company MCM Media has signed a contract to launch the Vevo music video and entertainment service in Australia. As the nature of music sales changes in the face of the online revolution, companies such as MCM are leading in innovative ventures that combine radio and online music businesses.

The platform, a joint venture between Sony and Universal Music, is currently available in the US, Canada and UK.

Vevo features an extensive catalog of premium music video content supplied through partnerships with major labels, including Sony, Universal and EMI.

MCM Entertainment’s CEO Simon Joyce says: “The addition of VEVO to our existing websites Take40.com and TheHotHits.com will ensure MCM Media is delivering Australian Music fans unparalleled access to artists, while giving advertisers a greater opportunity to engage with music lovers.”
