Mix 106.3 still leads the pack in the nation’s capital, with an overall share of 22.3 (-0.3) in the second GfK Canberra survey of 2025, putting it ahead of Hit 104.7 (-0.8 to 13.9) and ABC Radio National, which notably recorded a cume spike of 11,000.
After a solid rise in the first book of the year, the Mix team of Kristen and Nige continue to dominate the Breakfast timeslot with a 22.8 share (-3.7), ahead of ABC Canberra (+0.7 to 15.3).
With a 6.1 rise in share, Radio National ‘s new breakfast host Sally Sara leapfrogged Hit’s Rod & Gabi to now sit third place in Breakfast (-1.6 to 11.7).
Across the talk stations, Radio National picked up older listeners who dropped away from the other talk stations 666 ABC Canberra, 2CC and NewsRadio during this volatile international news period.
2CC’s breakfast presenter Stephen Cenatiempo slipped a little, but Mark Levy’s new morning show fell most, down 3.5 share points this survey. 666 ABC Radio Canberra, the ABC’s local station gained in across its workday timeslots, with afternoons and drive gaining most, while evenings and weekends fell.
2CA’s classic hits music format lifted its over 65 audience, but dropped off some 40-64 listeners to slip fractionally, losing listeners in drive but steady in other shifts.
Mix lost younger listeners to sister station Hit, swapping the share of 10-17 year old listeners almost excxatly between the two stations. Triple j lost 18-39 listeners, to drop 1.3 points overall.
