Mix 106.6 wins the vote as the premier station in Canberra

Mix 106.3 Canberra has consolidated its lead at the top of the ratings for GfK Survey 1 in the nation’s capital.

Scoring 24.2, Mix and Hit 104.7 both had good gains of 3.6 and 3.1 respectively.

Hit 104.7 moved from 14.4 to 17.5 in this latest survey.

ABC Canberra dropped 2.8, scoring 8.4, equal with 2RN, down by 1.0 to 8.4.

2CA gained 0.5 to 6.9,with the new breakfast team almost doubling the breakfast share from 3.8 to 7.0 in their debut survey.

2CC was up 0.1 to 4.8, with gains in afternoon, drive and weekends and falls in other shifts.

ABC Classic fared the best of the national broadcasters, up 0.3 to 9.8.

In breakfast Kristen & Nige (Mix) were the big improvers, up 4.1 to 22.7, while Ned & Josh (Hit)  picked up 2.3 moving to 16.4. 2CA’s new breakfast show, The Classic Breakfast with Holmsey & Scotty  was up by 3.2 to 7.0.

2CA General manager, Michael Jones says, “It’s a well deserved result for the 2CA breakfast show, with Paul Holmes & Scotty Masters putting in the hard work, along with our entire programming and promotions team.”

The cumes for Mix and Hit remain locked together with 149,000 listeners each in Survey 1, with triple j on 81,000 and ABC Canberra with 78,000.
